This was a brutal massacre.

From the very start, this war between two sides of completely unequal strength had become utterly one-sided.

Against the Kryptonian technology wielded by General Zod, the artillery shells and grenades used by Earth's armies were practically clubs in the hands of cavemen. Forget hurting the enemy—even empowered by the Yellow Sun, those bullets could not catch up to the Kryptonians' speed.

Most Kryptonians could not even be bothered to dodge. To them, the bullets and artillery fire were no different from a scratch.

The physiques of Kryptonians varied as well. Some absorbed solar radiation quickly, while others did so slowly. This meant that most Kryptonians could not reach General Zod's level of enhancement.
