Background

Yun Shan was the former leader of the Misty Cloud Sect. Early accounts described him as a Nine-Star Dou Emperor in seclusion, with even his own sect uncertain whether he had broken through to the Dou Zong realm. Xiao Meng's unusual knowledge of Yun Shan and the sect unsettled Ge Ye and Yun Yun long before Yun Shan appeared personally. 14 70

Yun Shan was later revealed to be “Pojun,” a transmigrator who had possessed Yun Shan's body three years before his confrontation with Xiao Meng. He secretly observed, tested, and maneuvered against Xiao Meng for years, using agents in Wutan City, the Black-Corner Region, and Jia Nan Academy. 166

During his final defeat, a sealed entity emerged from Yun Shan's body and exposed his supposed system as a fragment of its consciousness. Yun Shan's final attempt to sacrifice himself and summon the true Hell Gate instead broke the seal on the entity within him.
