Queen of the Snake-People Tribe

Medusa ruled the Snake-People Tribe while it was confined to the Tagor Desert and burdened by generations of hostility with humans. Before Jia He reached the tribe, she had anticipated his arrival and ordered the city placed under martial law. 58

When the Eight-Winged Black Serpent Emperor, Bai Ya, attempted to persuade her to become his wife and leave with him, Medusa rejected him outright. She defeated him with a serpent-based battle skill that manifested a gigantic purple python and overwhelmed his black flames. 59

Alliance with Jia He

Medusa initially distrusted Jia He and rejected the notion that her tribe required human aid. She nevertheless heard his proposal after witnessing his strength against Bai Ya. 60 Jia He warned her that the tribe’s forced-evolution secret art could destroy her body and soul if it failed, or leave her suppressed by her companion beast’s soul if it succeeded. 61

After Jia He proved his alchemy by refining a high-quality Dou Ling Pill, Medusa accepted the Heaven-tier Nuwa Spirit Art despite Hua She’er’s objections. The technique was exceptionally compatible with serpent bloodlines and enabled Medusa to attain Dou Zong. 61 62 67

After roughly half a month in seclusion, Medusa emerged as a colossal Nine-Colored Swallowing Heaven Python.
