Background

Xiao Wu initially travels with Tang San. At the Rose Hotel, she challenges Dai Mubai for attempting to seize the room she and Tang San had booked, showing little tolerance for his presumptuous behavior. She is immediately struck by Yuan Qingtian's appearance when he arrives, privately comparing him favorably to Tang San. 10

After Yuan Qingtian takes Zhu Zhuqing away, Xiao Wu rebukes Tang San for failing to confront him. Tang San's reluctance leaves her frustrated, and she calls him increasingly cowardly. 12

Her identity as a transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast makes her a target. Tang Hao and Tang San discuss taking her Spirit Ring and Soul Bone, devastating Xiao Wu's trust in Tang San.
