If they had not known beforehand, even Mr. Granger would never have believed that Silan was a child from an orphanage.

"Silan is hardworking and smart. He learned to earn money at a very young age." Mrs. Granger looked into the distance, but her voice carried to Mr. Granger's ears. "Ever since he started attending that magic school, he's earned even more money. He often sends money back to the orphanage too."

Mr. Granger was rather surprised. "How did you know?"

"Hmph." Mrs. Granger shot him a look. "Did you really think I didn't care at all about our daughter's affairs?"

"Of course I investigated."

"Mrs. Hazel told me. The children at the orphanage can not only eat their fill now, but they all wear new clothes too. Quite a few children of the right age have even gone to school."

Hearing that, Mr. Granger could not help looking at Silan in the distance in surprise.

As an adult, he naturally understood the hardships of life and the difficulty of making money.

Ensuring that an orphanage had enough food and clothing was not too difficult, but sending those orphans to school was an enormous expense.
