Early morning.
The Granger family got up early.
"Darling, pack your things," Mrs. Granger called from the stairs. "We'll take you over later."
"Okay, Mum."
Hermione's voice drifted down from upstairs.
After the family hurriedly packed up, Mr. Granger dragged a large Suitcase into the living room.
"Look at it! Isn't it beautiful?"
Mr. Granger lifted the large Suitcase and showed it off proudly. "The latest model. It cost me fifty pounds."
"I specially reinforced the wheels so they can bear plenty of weight." Mr. Granger flicked the Suitcase wheels, making them spin briskly. "The rest is made of lightweight but sturdy materials. It's perfect for carrying Hermione's luggage."
Mr. Granger raised his brows, seemingly quite pleased with his thorough planning.
Mrs. Granger was somewhat helpless. "Think about Hermione's books. Even the lightest Suitcase will weigh like a stone once it's filled with those."
"At least this Suitcase has good wheels... It won't take much effort to pull it on flat ground." Mr. Granger sounded a little deflated as well.
Most of Hermione's luggage consisted of books, and books were the least convenient things to carry.
They took up space and were especially heavy.
However, as her parents, they had long grown used to Hermione's love of books. Rather than complain, they did their best to find a solution.
The two carried the Suitcase upstairs and knocked on Hermione's door.
"Are you not done packing yet?"
Mrs. Granger looked around the room and, seeing none of Hermione's things laid out, reminded her.
"We need to hurry, darling."
"I'm already packed."
"Then put everything in the Suitcase." Mr. Granger squeezed in through the doorway with the Suitcase in hand. "You always said your old Suitcase was too small to hold many books, so I got you a new one this year."
