Pippin invited Silan into the shop and hung a "Temporarily Closed" sign outside.
"Please, have a seat, Mr. Prewett."
Pippin hurried behind the counter, took out his finest black tea, and brewed a pot.
He usually couldn't bear to drink it himself. He saved it for important guests.
Silan sat down and smiled at the beaming Pippin. "Looks like you made quite a bit over the summer?"
"We did. We."
Pippin looked up from making the tea and corrected him cheerfully, grinning from ear to ear.
Pippin brought the tea to the little round table and poured Silan a cup. "Mr. Prewett, if you hadn't seen it, you wouldn't believe it. Professor Snape's Potions sold like nothing else!"
"I didn't even need to advertise. Once I sold a bottle somewhere, the wizards did it for me. All I had to do was sit in a pub and wait."
Pippin sat across from Silan, his voice brimming with excitement. "Wizards came looking to buy them one after another!"
Silan picked up his cup, then put it down again. "How well did they sell?"
"Mr. Prewett, we both underestimated Professor Snape's standing in the field of Potions." Pippin shook his head in wonder. "One wizard missed me in Scotland and chased me all the way to London!"
"Just to buy one bottle of Professor Snape's Potions."
"He didn't even want to use it. He wanted to display it at home, so when his friends visited, he could show them the bottle and boast that it was made by Professor Snape!" Pippin exclaimed.
That surprised Silan.
He knew Snape ranked among the best in England's Wizarding World when it came to Potions. He just hadn't realized wizards would take pride in owning one of Snape's creations...
