Snape led Silan into the Headmaster's Office.

Dumbledore looked up at them with a cheerful smile. "Severus, and Silan. Have you come to deliver the ingredients list? I've been waiting for you."

Snape nodded silently and gave Silan a look, signaling him not to speak and to leave this to him.

With his Head of House taking the lead, Silan was happy to sit back.

"Yes, Headmaster Dumbledore." Snape took out two stacked sheets of parchment. "We've finished tallying the potion ingredients we're missing. Once you've prepared them, I can start brewing the Wolfsbane Potion."

"Prewett will be helping me."

"Oh?" Dumbledore glanced at Silan. "As far as I know, he's only in his third year. Isn't it a little early for him to help brew the Wolfsbane Potion?"

The Wolfsbane Potion was crucial to Lupin, and Dumbledore didn't want anything to go wrong.

"There's no need to worry," Snape said expressionlessly. "Prewett is far more useful than those imbeciles."

"Besides, he already helped brew the Mandrake Revival Potion last term. The Wolfsbane Potion is more difficult, but he should still be of use."

"Very well, then. Let me see the ingredients list."

Dumbledore glanced at the parchment in Snape's hand. Seeing only two small sheets, he looked quite relaxed.

Severus really is considerate. He's only written two little sheets. He must be worried about making me spend too much.

"Severus, I never imagined you could be so magnanimous and let bygones be bygones," Dumbledore said with a smile. "I'm truly glad to see you like this."

"I believe that with you here, both our Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor and our students will be safe." Dumbledore turned his smile toward Silan and said meaningfully, "And Mr. Prewett, of course. To be honest, you've had rather too much to
