Sizzle!
Like a red-hot branding iron pressed against hide, a charred mark instantly appeared on Hercules's bronze arm. Yet no blood flowed; instead, wisps of black vapor curled around the wound, bringing a soul-piercing pain like countless needles.
Hercules frowned and gave a muffled grunt. The movement of his left arm visibly stiffened.
But less than two seconds later, the muscles around the wound twitched slightly, and a purer, fiercer divine power forcibly expelled and dispersed the wisp of black vapor.
The charred mark remained, but it had clearly failed to inflict any deep corrosion or lasting damage.
As the most renowned demigod in Omnipotence City, Hercules possessed divine power exceeding that of many pure-blooded gods, along with terrifying magic resistance and regenerative abilities.
"Tsk, tsk. Just as expected of Zeus's spawn. Thick-skinned, aren't you—"
Blackheart commented in a mocking tone, the scarlet glow in his eyes flickering. Hercules's displayed strength had clearly exceeded his initial estimates.
Still, he had never expected to take Hercules down in a single blow.
So he gestured at the Wind, Water, and Earth Demons. The three immediately regrouped and launched relentless harassment attacks from different angles with seamless coordination.
This time, they did not seek to badly wound Hercules at once. They only wanted to keep him pinned down.
Hercules swung the Golden Scepter, using his powerful, surging divine power to shatter every incoming wind blade, water spear, and stone hammer.
His movements were incomparably fierce, every strike forcing the three elemental demons back in pain.
But Blackheart's sinister sneak attacks and the three demons' relentless entanglement did effectively restrict his movements, preventing him from easily breaking free to attack the Mark 44 Little Gundam Armor or support Tony Stark and the others.
For a moment, the battle fell into a brief stalemate.
