The Guards spread out in loose formation and attacked uphill, utterly ignoring the meager cover offered by the shade below the slope.

Under the fire support of Steel Calamity, the main assault force advanced toward the horizon, even as bullets and shrieking shells scorched and battered their gray armor.

"This is Taru. The Shrimp's firepower has intensified. My vanguard is almost within attack range."

"This is Big Green. We've pushed to the top! The Shrimp are already collapsing."

As combat reports poured into Guk's communications channel like a waterfall, the Ork king unhesitatingly plunged alone into the vortex of war.

"Enjoy this fight, boys!"

Heavy fire hammered against his massive power armor, filling the air around him with metallic fragments from incoming shells.

Kundraka, leader of the Court Guard, charged forward at the side of the gigantic king. He knew this was far better than shrinking beneath the coming barrage. Being allowed to accompany the Overlord during a forced assault was an immense honor, one rarely granted outside the elite.

Mangul, the Guard commander, crackled over the communications channel.

"Boss, we've taken the eastern fortress and are suppressing their artillery positions."

"Good work!"

Guk laughed and strode steadily onward, even as a direct-fire cannon above trained its fire on him.

The human commander roared at his artillerymen, trembling all over beneath the overwhelming oppression brought by that pale giant beast.

The explosion struck only a few paces in front of Guk, spraying metal fragments, dirt, and dust in every direction like a torrential downpour.

Kundraka felt a stabbing pain in his shoulder and thigh, but his superhuman physiology swiftly suppressed the worst of the wounds. He did not even have time to inspect the damage.
