Faced with Mordras Fortress's stubborn resistance, Beluf's solution was direct and efficient.

Due to the need to build naval power, Fangili Port had gathered a large number of Mekboyz. Besides building and repairing ships, these fellows also liked to tinker with novel ideas of their own.

One Mekboy, inspired by the Flame Engine, had created a super-sized rocket. Gold Tooth named it—the Giga-Boom.

This rocket carried a weakened version of the Flame Engine and was filled with vast quantities of liquid compounds. Fifteen meters long and two meters wide, it had a range of over three hundred kilometers, and the explosives packed inside were enough to destroy most defensive structures.

Most crucially, its guidance system was highly unusual. Though it was still Snotling-guided, the Snotlings inside did not guide it by sight, but through a form of radio guidance.

When the ground-based Snotlings transmitted a signal with their radio sets, the Snotlings aboard the rocket could receive it from an enormous distance and adjust the rocket's flight attitude, achieving a relatively high hit rate.

Its drawbacks were equally obvious. The pilots had to be trained Snotlings, and the Snotlings transmitting from the ground needed training as well.

Only Arkham's master trainers could train Snotlings like these, and every one of them was exceedingly valuable.

Once the rocket hit, both the Snotlings aboard it and those on the ground were finished.

Thus, Giga-Boom rockets were extremely expensive. So expensive that although Gold Tooth greatly admired it, he had been utterly unwilling to manufacture more, retaining only a single experimental prototype.

For this operation, he had specifically brought the rocket out aboard a barge, intending to show off before Guk or find a suitable buyer, while testing its power along the way.
