"Who was that, who was that, who was that~?"

In the dim workshop, a rusty, yellowed, battered radio played a horribly off-key tune. A figure crouched halfway to the ground swayed constantly to the low humming, while the welding torch in his hand burst with blinding blue-white flashes every few seconds.

Short figures were scattered around the other corners as well. They muttered among themselves and wandered back and forth, moving things here one moment and there the next.

Clang!

The main doors were kicked open violently. Noon sunlight drove away the darkness, and a carefree silhouette emerged through the swirling mist.

"Hm?"

The figure squatting on the ground immediately set down his welding torch and flipped up his protective visor, revealing a greasy green face.

"You? What're you doing here?"

"Just came to take a look."

With a thick hand-rolled cigar clenched between his teeth, Wazgub kicked aside a pile of scrap blocking the way and walked over to the mechanic. Hands on his hips, he carefully examined the massive red vehicle before him.

It looked absolutely amazing. Wazgub could hardly wait to take it out for a spin.

"How much longer?"

"Can't you see I'm attaching the wheels? Unless you plan on never getting back out after climbing in."

The mechanic muttered, then lowered his visor and resumed working.

Wazgub did not bother him further. Instead, he walked a full circle around the fighter.

Compared with the Raiders they had flown before, this fighter was much larger. To carry out ultra-long-range airstrike missions, it had abandoned the old single-engine design and mounted two engines in parallel on its fuselage!

All of this had begun on Guk's second day in Arkham.

For a long time, Arkham's air power had been fragmented and chaotic. Each flight was essentially a warband.
