"Take cover!"

Smoke enveloped him once again.

When it quickly dispersed again, Ragnar's massive enemy had vanished.

Ragnar felt a beast-like fury roaring in his heart, desperate to find that terrifying enemy and destroy him.

After looking around, he realized that not every position was occupied by enemies.

"Follow me!"

As Ragnar gave the order, he leaped up and rolled into the nearest cover.

This church had never witnessed anything grand before.

Today, it would bear witness to a warrior's bloody battle.

Nine Green Devils—more than he had expected—followed close behind him.

They entered what appeared to be a prayer hall, an entire floor on the church's second level.

White pillars stood evenly spaced throughout. Parts of the walls and floor had been destroyed, with broken tables and chairs scattered everywhere. At the far end of the room stood an ancient-looking elevator, filled with debris that had fallen from the upper floors.

Beside the elevator was a stairwell. Though heavily damaged, it remained intact.

"Boys, follow me. Our fate lies ahead!"

Ragnar crossed the room and bounded up the stairs.

They reached a high point overlooking the battlefield. He silently hoped that whichever god was protecting this old building would not let it collapse now.

It was time for Ragnar to stop being a soldier and become a commander again.

He activated his communicator.

"Holof, it's your turn. Target the church and any nearby buildings with Ork firepower. We've run into real opponents."

"Greenskins? They're mine. If my boys don't blast them all into scraps, you can pick up their helmets and use them as new drinking cups."

As explosions erupted one after another, the stairwell and the church's foundations shook together.

Ragnar turned back to inspect his squad.
