Major General Cadimos stood before a row of surveillance systems and display screens.

This was one of Dunwich's underground command centers. To strengthen the defenses of this military stronghold and eliminate any dangerous elements, the New California Republic military had secretly constructed a massive surveillance network with the assistance of the Civic Temple.

Large numbers of cameras and sensors had been covertly installed throughout the streets, so every move people made was under Cadimos's control.

At that moment, he was alone, watching the transactions, killings, and violent crimes taking place throughout Dunwich's streets and alleys.

As he watched scene after scene of combat, Cadimos felt the sensation of holding great power in his hands.

All of this had been carefully arranged by him.

The city had already fallen so deeply into depravity. Despite the presence of large numbers of troops, dens of vice, prohibited drugs, and corrupt exchanges of power and money were only becoming more rampant.

Human nature was being magnified under the control of some force. At first, it only emerged in corners that were difficult to notice, but slowly, it would step into the spotlight and dominate everyone.

Once again, Cadimos praised the Infinite Power in his heart, though the general's stars on his shoulders gleamed brilliantly in the fluorescence of the screens.
