End Times Altar (I)

The Kommandoz stood before the entrance to a shaft. This was where they had infiltrated Hayes Forest before.

The echoes of battle surrounded them. Explosions and gunfire rang out from every direction as the Blood Skull Legion besieged two armies—roughly 150,000 men—trapped within a thirty-kilometer area between Celephis Town and Hayes Forest.

It was a massive battle. Evil Sun warlord Gogu had joined the fray, and it was his mobile biker legion that had severed communications between the various units, allowing Naz to encircle the 150,000 enemies.

But swallowing up all those men in one bite would not be easy. The two armies had established defenses on the spot, using existing fortifications to build their lines. There were also many secret bunkers here, stocked with vast quantities of supplies, giving the besieged defenders a sliver of hope.

Before the battle began, Giga-Boom rockets had blasted most of the secret bunkers to pieces. Yet the bunkers in Hayes Forest seemed to have escaped the bombardment of Giga-Boom super-heavy rockets and continued supplying the trapped forces without interruption.

Naz wanted a quick victory. He hoped Ur and his lads could destroy that damned human bunker, because only Ur knew the way.

There were several points along the way where they had to change direction quickly, but they arrived at the old place without incident.

Ur let out a breath. At last, things seemed to be getting better.

He was the first to enter the shaft. Close behind him came his new deputy, followed by the other Kommandoz—Naz had specially assigned him a group of elite fighters for this operation.

A full two hundred seasoned Kommandoz, all ruthless survivors of countless battles.
