"Doctor, could it be that your reagents are too low-grade?"
Xu Zhi spouted nonsense.
Zhuang Xu flew into a rage. "How could that be!"
"The reagents I prepare are absolutely the best the lower levels have to offer!"
He was not some native back-alley doctor from the lower levels. Everything he had learned was upper-level medicine and supernatural knowledge; he knew far more than ordinary lower-level back-alley doctors.
If even the medicine he prepared could not detect what attribute had injured Xu Zhi's body, then no lower-level reagent could distinguish it!
"Still."
Zhuang Xu did not speak too definitively. "Perhaps new reagents have emerged up there over the years. Mine may be outdated."
After all, Xu Zhi's injuries were clearly recent. He had been disconnected from the upper levels for so many years that who knew what changes had taken place without his knowledge.
"Besides, reagent testing is ultimately just a conventional method. It is not as useful as supernatural abilities."
Zhuang Xu began rambling about things Xu Zhi did not want to hear. She looked at him with a gentle smile. "Doctor, do you have any other methods?"
"Well..." Zhuang Xu hesitated for a moment. "The lower levels have limited equipment and materials. I do have other ways to test you, but they cannot be carried out down here."
"Oh." Xu Zhi indicated that she understood and did not press further on something that might embarrass Doctor Zhuang.
That made sense. A doctor currently stuck in the lower levels might have plenty of ideas, but various limitations kept him from putting them into practice.
It also indirectly showed that as long as she remained in the lower levels and did not encounter those powerful supernatural beings, there was no risk of being exposed.
"Wait here. We need to run
