The buildings were not very tall, the villas were spaced relatively far apart, and the area covered a great deal of land. More intact buildings had been preserved here than in ordinary residential compounds outside.
The trading area had been set up in what had once been the sales office. The building seemed to have been renovated and rebuilt, leaving little trace of its original appearance. Xu Zhi only guessed its former purpose because it looked completely different from the other villas and had more floors.
