"Okay."
A smile appeared on Xu Zhi's face as she agreed without hesitation.
Whatever the case, she would know once she got there.
With someone leading the way, Xu Zhi did not need to take any detours. She easily passed the biological authentication checkpoints along the way that were meant to keep people out of the laboratory. Then, when she followed him into the central lab, she finally saw more of the experiments.
The place he brought her to was probably something like a main control room. On the way there, Xu Zhi saw many scenes extremely similar to the one she had just witnessed.
In transparent rooms, Extraordinary individuals wearing collars were confined. There were unfinished embryos in cultivation tanks, holographic displays showing the parents' Extraordinary Circuits, and twins imprisoned together.
The sheer number of such rooms was enough to show how many secret human experiments had been conducted here. Jiang Qing had likely been one of them—and a relatively successful one at that.
Xu Zhi sighed softly. Looking at the numb expressions on those test subjects' faces, she thought that, barring any surprises, today would be the day they died, buried underground alongside this secret research facility.
Would death be a release for them?
Xu Zhi did not know. She only knew that even if she did not destroy this laboratory, once it was breached, the people who escaped from here would not spare them.
And Xu Zhi clearly would not give those people a chance to escape.
"Qu Yunshi, who did you bring in here?!"
The man leading Xu Zhi into the main control room was berated the moment he entered. When the researchers gathered there saw Xu Zhi, they immediately drew their guns and aimed them at her warily.
They had received at least some training
