After asking about the formation's range, Xu Zhi left with her Familiars.
But when they reached the edge, she said to Little One, "In a moment, shrink to normal size and stay just inside the boundary. Leave your tail outside. I'm running an experiment."
Last time, she had discovered that her Familiars seemed unaffected by the red light. This time, she wanted to test it again. If anything went wrong, she could immediately have Doggie drag it out by its tail.

Inside the formation, Huo Ze smugly directed Yu Shenwei through all the preparations. After all, he was blind now. Though he knew what needed to be done, doing it himself would have been troublesome.
Once everything was ready, Huo Ze said, "Dig out your own heart and place it at the formation's core. Then use blood to connect all the materials, and the ritual will begin."
