Incantation Spells with more complex syllables were generally stronger, but they were also more troublesome to cast and slower to execute.
Incantation Spells were easy to master and convenient to cast, so shortcomings in areas such as power were unavoidable.

Thus, advanced laboratories were prepared for such Level 2 Wizards. They had more comprehensive experimental facilities and could withstand spell experiments of greater intensity.
As for Third-Level Wizards—Goosepeak Fort currently had no spell laboratory of that standard, one capable of enduring spell experiments at the level of a Third-Level Wizard.
