The Lava Lizard was enormous as well, taking up a large portion of the street after appearing.
The heat radiating from its body ignited the dead grass on the roof of a nearby house, setting the entire building ablaze in an instant as the flames rapidly spread.
Just then, a piercing scream came from inside that house, as though it were drilling into the minds of everyone present.
Even Duke felt a slight headache, which indicated that the scream carried a mental attack.
He immediately became alert and looked toward the burning house. A figure rushed out from within.
Only when it came closer did everyone clearly see what it was.
It wore the clothes of a Tulus commoner, though more accurately, it could no longer be called a person.
Half its head was missing, seemingly gnawed away by some animal. The contents inside were still faintly visible, with blood streaming down.
Yet when the blood hit the ground, it turned into black smoke and vanished. It did not appear to be real blood.
The Three-Headed Lava Lizard reacted quickly. The instant the figure charged forward, it spat out a massive fireball that struck it directly.
Flames instantly engulfed the undead-like being, reducing it to ashes in a moment.
Shortly afterward, only some black ashes remained where it had stood.
A breeze rose through the town and blew the black ashes to the end of the street, where they vanished from sight.
"This is... an Undead Affinity creature. It looks more like a collection of negative energy formed from resentment and the like, but it's also different from ordinary undead creatures," Leonard said after observing what had happened.
He came from the Silver Hand, which had once been a purely white wizard organization and Doom Bell's sworn enemy.
Over the
