Chishima Lake was a massive freshwater lake.

As its name suggested, it contained many islands, large and small.

The species here were incredibly diverse. Creatures that flew in the sky, ran on land, and swam in the water could all be found here.

It was also a major freshwater reserve in the Land of Water.

The seawater in this world was salty as well, making freshwater resources extremely precious.

Mist Village forces were stationed here year-round.

On the surface, they were there to watch over Chishima Lake.

In reality, there was an even more important reason: this was where the Three-Tails Isobu was most likely to be reborn.

Although Mist Village did not understand the reason, Isobu had been reborn in Chishima Lake every time it died before.

The exact timing was uncertain. It could take anywhere from three to five years, so people were stationed here permanently to patrol and investigate.
