Yugito cursed Matatabi under her breath and dragged the unsteady Yōya onward.

"Roar!"

The Demonic Statue of the Outer Path let out a thunderous roar, its massive bellow stirring the air into a storm that blasted toward Yugito and Yōya.

Yugito and Yōya were thrown to the ground.

Obito walked forward step by step, the enormous Demonic Statue of the Outer Path looming behind him.

His entire presence radiated immense pressure.

A cold laugh curled across Obito's lips.

"Today, I'll make you a pair of star-crossed lovers!"

Obito had yet to realize that the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path had absorbed a massive amount of Dark Chakra.

The Rinnegan, which was closely connected to the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, had caused subtle changes in his state of mind.

Yugito glared hatefully at Obito and pulled Yōya to his feet.

Under the effects of the medicine, Yōya had finally caught his breath. Some strength returned to his body, and he barely managed to steady himself.

Yugito could tell that Obito wanted to toy with them. Gritting her teeth, she said, "Split up!"

With that, she shoved Yōya away with all her strength and ran in the opposite direction.

Obito's target was the Two-Tails. Yugito wanted to use her life to buy Yōya some time.

Seeing Obito pursue Yugito, Yōya could not help but take a deep breath. He needed to recover quickly.

His Chakra was insufficient, and so was his ocular power. Though he had taken medicine, this little time was nowhere near enough for recovery.
