Ding ding ding…
The knocking startled Gemini awake from his slumber.
He shot up from the bed with swift movements, his eyes unfocused. The noisy sounds continued to assault his ears, like countless flies buzzing around him, making Gemini extremely annoyed.
Ding ding ding…
Without giving Gemini much time to adjust, the knocking sounded again. Gemini rolled out of bed, flashed to the room's door, and opened it.
Standing outside was a disheveled witch, a waitress from The Leaky Cauldron. The witch looked at Gemini listlessly, a tray floating behind her.
"It's dinner time, would you like to eat, sir?"
Gemini looked at the tray floating in the air behind her. On it sat a large piece of roasted flatbread and something bloody and organ-like.
"What is that?" Gemini frowned in disgust.
"Raw liver, it sells very well, would you like to try it?"
"No, thank you," Gemini pursed his lips. "I'll sort out dinner myself. Please take this back."
"Alright, sir." The disheveled witch turned and left.
Closing the door, Gemini finally breathed a sigh of relief. The knocking had startled him, and as he turned to walk back into the room, he heard a snap behind him. Gemini turned back in confusion. In his hand, he was holding an old doorknob.
The poor doorknob had been pulled right off the door by him…
Worst of all, the thing seemed to be stuck to his hand, and he couldn't shake it off no matter how hard he tried.
Struggling to pull the doorknob from his hand, Gemini felt awful. After finally managing to pull it off, he realized it had stuck to his other hand.
"What is this… how is this happening… I can't get it off! Damn it! F*ck! Am I going to get pregnant!"
The sudden loss of control over his body made Gemini agitated. Hedwig, who had just woken up, was perched by the window, watching Gemini as if he were an idiot.
Thump! The doorknob was finally thrown onto the floor.
Gemini collapsed onto the bed, sighing with relief.
He looked out the window; it was already night. The streetlights had been lit, and a steady rain had begun to fall from the sky.
"Looks like… the Spider Serum was successful."
He clenched his fist, feeling the surging power within him, and a smile touched Gemini's lips.
That's more like it!
If he didn't have the physique to fight a fire dragon, what kind of wizard would he be? He might as well become a warrior.
'Adsorption Ability: The ability to adhere to surfaces through controlled manipulation of molecular boundary atomic interactions (such as electrostatic forces), particularly with hands and feet.
Spider Physique: Grants the user superhuman strength, speed, agility, stamina, durability, reaction time, and senses, proportional to a spider's enhanced capabilities. Maximum strength allows lifting 15-20 tons, vertical leaps of 30 feet, and running speeds that can keep pace with fast-moving cars. Can operate for hours in peak condition, hold his breath for over 8 minutes, and survive close-range explosions.
Self-Healing Factor: Severe injuries that would be incurable for a normal person can be fully healed in a matter of hours to days.
Immune System: Accelerated metabolism renders the user immune to most drugs and toxins.
Spider-Sense: A precognitive danger sense that alerts the user through a tingling sensation in the back of the head and an adrenaline surge. The intensity of the pain is proportional to the severity of the danger.'
These five abilities were the weapon shop's detailed summary of the serum's effects.
Gemini did a rough calculation. Based on his current condition, even with the physical enhancements from the Spider Serum, at eleven years old, his strength would likely be around five to six tons at most. However, detailed testing would still be necessary.
Sitting up from the bed, Gemini stared at the sheets stuck to him, lost in thought.
After a long while, Gemini finally managed to gain some control over the uncontrollable adsorption ability and the sudden surge of strength.
At least now he wouldn't accidentally break off a doorknob anymore…
Putting on the two Web-Shooters, Gemini shot a web at the wall, startling Hedwig. She was completely bewildered by her young master's actions.
"Sorry, did I scare you?" He smiled apologetically and reached out, gently stroking Hedwig's round little head.
Then…
Fwoosh—
Seeing a clump of feathers stuck to Gemini's hand, Hedwig's eyes widened. The entire bird was mortified.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa… Don't peck me. I'll take you to the vet tomorrow. They should have potions to help regrow feathers… probably…"
After a long time, Hedwig, who had pecked Gemini more than ten times, finally calmed down. With a soft coo, she turned her back to Gemini, ignoring him and sulking alone.
"I'll bring you something delicious tonight."
After gently comforting Hedwig, Gemini changed into black clothes, put on a mask, and leaped out the window, his figure disappearing into the night.
Whoosh—
The black figure appeared on a rooftop as if teleporting. A hint of joy was on Gemini's face.
With Spider-Man's abilities and physique, the Six Powers, which he couldn't use before, could finally be employed. Although only Soru and Kami-e could be used for now, mastering the remaining techniques was only a matter of time as his physical condition improved.
After all, he wasn't from the world of pirates and didn't have that monstrous physique, so learning at a slower pace was something Gemini could accept.
The brief practice had allowed Gemini to grasp some basic abilities. At least now he could ensure he wouldn't stick to random things anymore.
The small black shadow flashed across rooftop after rooftop. Half an hour later, Gemini finally found a group of petty thugs in a secluded alley.
A group of about seven people, with various skin tones, including white and black individuals. Some held beers, while others clutched cigarette butts. Most appeared to be around eighteen or nineteen years old. Two of them had tattoos, and their conversations were peppered with words starting with F or S.
This kind of scene was common on the streets of Western countries. These sorts of thugs generally liked to huddle together in small alleys where they could dance awkwardly, rap, fight, or rob passing middle school students.
"Hey, good evening everyone."
Gemini landed in the alley with a flip, startling the group.
"What the hell? Who's there?"
A white kid with a neck tattoo cursed, his gaze warily fixed on Gemini. However, upon clearly seeing Gemini's height, which was barely 1.4 meters, he relaxed his guard and couldn't help but let out a scoff.
"Are you lost, kid? This isn't a place for you. Too bad your mom isn't here; we don't have any milk for you."
As he finished speaking, he seemed to find his own joke hilarious and started laughing.
Bang!
A dark blur flashed, and the white youth was sent flying backward, crashing into the wall.
The other petty thugs were stunned.
At most, they usually robbed middle school students or got into scuffles. When had they ever witnessed such a fierce scene?
Falling to the ground with a thud, the white youth opened his mouth, seemingly wanting to say something. Ultimately, his eyelids fluttered shut, and he passed out.
Looking at the white youth he had kicked unconscious, Gemini smiled gently. "It's not good to insult others casually, but it's okay, I forgive you."
"Damn!"
"Shit!"
"Frank got taken down!"
"Damn it, grab him! He's all alone, don't let him escape!"
Someone shouted, and the others snapped back to reality, charging towards Gemini.
The fight ended quickly.
Soon, the group of petty thugs all lay on the ground in front of Gemini, groaning in pain.
Although he hadn't yet reached the strength of Spider-Man, capable of lifting tens of tons, Gemini's slender frame still possessed four to five tons of strength. Any punch he threw could easily blow someone's head off.
"Excuse me, are there any gangs... or criminal organizations around here? If so, please tell me."
Gemini asked earnestly, crouching in front of a black youth.
