Shikamaru and Sakura had secretly infiltrated the place to rescue Naruto, but they had been captured.
Lin Chongshu sat up from the bed. After Karura helped him get dressed, he slowly made his way outside.
The lights in the lower hold were dim, and several iron cages stood against the walls.
When Lin Chongshu arrived, Kamira and one of his Shadow Clones were guarding the place.
Shikamaru had been immobilized by Lin Chongshu's clone using the Shadow Imitation Technique.
Kamira had Sakura's wrists twisted behind her back, and her body trembled slightly.
Shikamaru looked up at Lin Chongshu, panting as he demanded,
"Lin Chongshu, why do you know the secret technique that our Nara Clan never passes on to outsiders?"
Lin Chongshu looked at Shikamaru. From the memories relayed by his Shadow Clone,
Shikamaru had intended to use the Shadow Imitation Technique to control Lin Chongshu's two Shadow Clones and Kamira, then have Sakura rescue Naruto while he had the chance.
But the instant Shikamaru's shadow touched Lin Chongshu's clone's shadow, he was controlled instead.
Lin Chongshu smiled at Shikamaru. "Yoshino Nara taught it to me!"
Yoshino Nara was Shikamaru's mother and also a Chunin of the Hidden Leaf Village.
Shikamaru froze for a moment, then immediately denied it. "Impossible! You're lying to me!"
Lin Chongshu clicked his tongue. "Believe it or not. That's simply the truth."
Seeing Lin Chongshu walk toward Sakura, Shikamaru shouted,
"I'm telling you, we've already sent word back to the Hidden Leaf Village.
Lord Hokage knows you're here. You won't be able to escape! Hidden Leaf reinforcements will be here soon!"
After hearing that, red light flickered in Lin Chongshu's eyes as he struck the back of
