Lin Chongshu shoved desperately toward the front of the crowd, forcing his arms through on either side.

Someone stumbled forward from being squeezed by him, then turned back and shot him a glare.

You dare glare at me? Fired up by the atmosphere around him, Lin Chongshu lost his temper too. He raised a hand and slapped the back of the man's head. "Get the hell out of my way!"

The man clutched his head. Seeing Lin Chongshu's fierce manner, he backed down instead and stepped aside to make room.

Finally squeezing his way to the very front, Lin Chongshu straightened up and happened to lock eyes with the foremost of the five Uchiha Clan members.

The system notification sounded.

Having gotten a taste of the benefits, Lin Chongshu followed them for five straight streets.

The three lackeys' legs had gone weak from running. They leaned against a wall, panting heavily. Usually, everyone dispersed after following for half an hour at most. They had never seen someone like Lin Chongshu, who became more energized after trailing them for five streets.

Lin Chongshu had never seen a transmigrator come to the Hidden Leaf Village without eating a bowl of Ichiraku Ramen.

Lin Chongshu ordered another bowl for each of them. The three shouted, "Long live Boss!" Lin Chongshu smiled too. Actually, the people of the Hidden Leaf Village are pretty normal when they're not bullying people.

That afternoon, the three lackeys brought Lin Chongshu to the entrance of the Hyuga Main House to try their luck.

When they were still two streets away from the Main House gates, Lin Chongshu saw several children surrounding a little girl, tugging her hair and cursing, "White-eyed monster!"

He was stunned. These little brats were actually bullying the Hyuga Main House's eldest daughter right outside the Hyuga Clan's gates? What kind of move was this?

He glanced at the two guards standing like wooden posts by the Hyuga Clan entrance in the distance and suddenly did not dare take another step forward.

But the three lackeys behind him had already rolled up their sleeves and walked forward.

At that moment, one boy was yanking Hinata's hair so hard that her head was pulled back. He shouted, "You ugly white-eyed freak!!"

"Everybody, stop!" Lin Chongshu shouted.

All the children turned to look at him at once. Even Hinata, whose eyes were brimming with tears, raised her head to look over.

Lin Chongshu took a running start and charged over, continuing to shout, "None of you are allowed to bully her!"

Those boys rolled up their sleeves, ready to beat him up along with her. "Where did this wild brat come from? Mind your own business."

Hinata's tears trembled in her eyes. Looking at the unfamiliar boy rushing toward her, she felt something she had never felt before. Someone had finally come to help her.

Lin Chongshu charged into the group, leaped over all the children blocking his path with a flying kick, and, right in front of the two Hyuga Clan guards, accurately kicked Hinata flying.

"Nobody gets to touch my experience! Don't underestimate the bonds my companions and I once shared, bastard!"

Hinata slid a distance across the stone-paved road. She lay face-down on the ground, completely bewildered.

After kicking Hinata away, Lin Chongshu turned to face the dumbfounded children behind him. "From now on, none of you are allowed to bully her!"

Hinata pushed herself up. Her left eye socket was already swollen, and her mind was a mess as she looked at Lin Chongshu. What exactly is this person trying to do? He kicked me, but he won't let anyone else bully me? Did he kick the wrong person just now?

"Who the hell are you?" the leader of the children finally came to his senses and pointed at Lin Chongshu.

Lin Chongshu rolled his wrist. "Who I am isn't important. What's important is whether you know what this is."

A few punches were all it took for him to knock the children to the ground.

Lin Chongshu crouched down and added to the boys lying on the ground, "Remember this. You are never allowed to come here and bully her again. Otherwise, every time I see you, I'll beat you up!"

Hinata was still half-propped up on the ground, fear mixed across her face. Lin Chongshu walked over, gave her a friendly smile, and held out his hand.

Hinata hesitated for several seconds before finally placing her little hand in his.

The instant her fingers touched Lin Chongshu's palm, he immediately pulled his hand away. Hinata lost her support and fell flat on her butt again.

Hinata sat on the ground, her butt still faintly aching. She blankly looked up at the person who had teased her twice in a row yet had just driven away everyone who bullied her, then nodded without understanding why.

Lin Chongshu crouched down and leaned his face closer. Hinata's face instantly flushed red, and she instinctively shrank back half an inch.

Lin Chongshu thought to himself, Was she this obedient and shy even as a child?

"Grow your hair out from now on. Short hair doesn't look good."

Hinata froze for a moment, then nodded gently, the movement so slight it was nearly invisible.

Lin Chongshu teased her a few more times before turning and leaving. It was not because he felt sorry for Hinata, but because the Uchiha Clan was about to begin patrolling the streets again.
