Beneath the Mizukage Building lay a large secret training ground that had been temporarily renovated.

The heavy stench of disinfectant mingled with the foul odor of festering wounds, filling the training ground.

Cold white light spilled from the lamps.

Several dozen former Hidden Mist Village Anbu ninja sat scattered in the corners, bloodstained bandages and torn ninja uniforms piled beside them.

All of them had suffered severe injuries during the previous battle to surround Ye. Severed hands and legs were everywhere; some had lost their right arms, some had had their left legs severed at the hip, while others had half their bodies covered in grotesque burn scars.

They had once been the sharpest blades in Yagura's hand. Now, with mutilated limbs and bodies riddled with injuries, they had become useless people no one cared about.

The massive iron doors slowly opened amid the grating scrape of metal. Every Anbu raised their heads in unison, their shoulders and backs tensing as their eyes remained fixed on the doorway.

Ye walked at the front, his military boots striking the hard floor of the air-raid shelter, each step producing a crisp, rhythmic echo.

Terumi Mei followed close behind, holding a record book in her hands.

Kabuto Yakushi pushed a cart loaded with glass containers and walked at the rear of the group.

"Lord Ye, these are the remaining Anbu elites. There are forty-seven in total."

Kabuto adjusted his round-framed glasses, his gaze sweeping over the wounded remnants in the corners.

"Thirty-one of them are severely disabled. Most have already lost the ability to carry out missions."

An Anbu captain missing his right arm leaned against the wall, his jaw clenched and the veins at his temples throbbing.

He spat a mouthful of bloodied saliva onto the ground, his voice full of fury. "We serve only the Mizukage!"

"Kill or torture us as you please. Stop putting on this hypocritical act!"

The surrounding Anbu all raised their heads. Even with their mutilated bodies, they still exuded the ferocious aura honed through years of killing.

Terumi Mei frowned. These people were too unyielding. Slaughter alone would never make them truly submit.

Ye stopped and swept his gaze over each of them.

In his eyes, this group was no different from scrap metal scattered across the ground.

A crisp chime sounded in his mind, followed by a system prompt.

"Detected: the host is facing the challenge of recruiting former subordinates. Please make a choice!" "Option One: Use conventional hellish training to temper them anew and conduct brainwashing education. Reward: Complete Chunin Tactical Guide." "Option Two: Use powerful genjutsu to brainwash everyone and forcibly transform them into puppets. Reward: A-rank genjutsu—Bringer-of-Darkness Technique." "Option Three: Publicly concoct Psychic Nutrient Solution and combine it with the Sage Body's origin aura to heal all disabilities, forging absolute faith in a true god among men and gaining fanatical deathsworn followers. Reward: Supreme-grade formation [Eight Desolations Spirit-Gathering Array (can gather a nation's natural energy and accelerate the entire village's cultivation)]."

Ye immediately chose the third option in his mind.

A puppet army controlled by genjutsu had no potential for further growth.

What he wanted was a group that retained its independent minds, yet willingly regarded him as their one and only god.

The moment the choice was made, the complete formation diagram of the [Eight Desolations Spirit-Gathering Array] fused directly into Ye's consciousness.

Ye turned around and gestured to Kabuto Yakushi. "Fill Tank Number One."

Kabuto immediately pressed the control switch on the wall.

At the center of the training ground, a roar came from the bottom of a massive glass water tank, ten meters long and ten meters wide. Clear groundwater swiftly filled it.

Ye walked to the cart and, following the formula for [Psychic Nutrient Solution] in his mind, swiftly moved both hands across twelve bottles of differently colored chemical reagents.

Without even touching a measuring cup, he relied entirely on instinct as he poured the reagents into a huge flask one after another.

When the final red powder fell into the flask, the liquid immediately began to boil, turning a transparent deep blue as a rich medicinal fragrance spread with the steam.

"Pour it in."

Kabuto lifted the flask and poured all of the deep-blue nutrient solution into the enormous tank. The clear water quickly turned a bright icy blue.

Though the water had been prepared, it was still far from enough. Ordinary Psychic Nutrient Solution could only strengthen the body.

To achieve the miracle of regenerating severed limbs, he needed to add the trump card that belonged to Ye alone.

Ye came to the edge of the tank and raised his right hand. The Sage Body chakra within him flowed to his fingertips at his command.

A drop of origin blood essence, radiating a dazzling emerald light and containing suffocatingly immense vitality, seeped from his fingertip.

The blood essence fell into the water with a soft drip, unusually clear within the vast training ground.

In an instant, the entire tank erupted in brilliant green light.

The blinding radiance pierced through the glass, turning the dim underground training ground as bright as day.

An incomparably abundant life force spread outward. After taking just one breath, the Anbu by the walls felt waves of numbness spread through their agonizing wounds.

Ye turned to the injured remnants who had yet to move, his gaze shifting from face to face. "Take off your clothes and get in. All of you."

"This is the only chance I'm giving you."

He raised a hand and pointed at the tank churning with green light, leaving them with one final choice.

"If you want to keep being useless trash, stay outside and wait to die."

The one-armed captain gritted his back teeth, his gaze moving back and forth between Ye and the tank as his Adam's apple bobbed repeatedly.

In the end, his desire to regain his strength overcame his wariness toward an enemy.

He tore off his shirt with one hand and was the first to leap into the tank shimmering with green light.

The instant his body submerged, a trembling roar burst from deep in his throat.

The immense life energy in the tank poured into his body through every pore, nearly filling his flesh and blood to the brim.

An intense itch erupted from his severed right shoulder. He clenched his teeth, his entire face twitching.

Everyone beside the tank leaned forward to look. Many forgot even to blink as the flesh at the stump began to writhe.

Crushed bones extended anew beneath the green light, the broken sections reconnecting inch by inch.

Once the bones had formed, crimson flesh buds intertwined, severed blood vessels reconnected, and fresh skin quickly covered the wound.

In less than ten minutes, a complete, powerful arm brimming with explosive strength appeared once more at the Anbu captain's right shoulder.

Terumi Mei stood outside the tank, covering her mouth tightly with both hands, unable to draw another breath for a long while.

"Th-This... is impossible..."

Even Princess Tsunade, renowned throughout the Shinobi World, could never make a severed limb grow back perfectly intact within mere minutes.

What lay before them had long surpassed the limits of medical ninjutsu. Only a miracle bestowed by the Creator himself could explain it.

The Anbu outside the tank could no longer restrain themselves. The remaining forty-six tore off their ragged ninja uniforms and jumped into the tank in a frantic rush, the sounds of splashing following one after another.

The green light within the tank grew even brighter as mutilated wounds rapidly healed amid the life energy.

Severed legs grew back, half-burned faces returned to normal, and exposed flesh was covered by newborn skin.

The forty-seven severely disabled Hidden Mist Village elites thus gained complete new lives within the green nutrient solution.

When they rose from the tank, all their injuries had vanished. Every one of them possessed a physique several times stronger than at their peak.

They lowered their heads to examine their flawless bodies, their chests heaving violently. When they looked up again, the hostility and wariness from before had faded, and their blazing gazes were fixed firmly on Ye.

The Anbu captain was the first to step out of the tank. Without even bothering to put on clothes, he dropped heavily to both knees and pressed his forehead against Ye's boots.

The rest of the Anbu leaped from the water in unison, their movements perfectly coordinated as they all knelt at Ye's feet.

No one spoke. Within the empty underground training ground, only the dull sounds of knees hitting the ground remained.

They looked up at Ye, the burning fervor surging in their eyes now belonging to fanatics worshipping a god.

Whoever could grant them new life and power was the only master they were willing to serve with their lives.

Ye looked down at the deathsworn kneeling before him, his deep voice carrying throughout the training ground. "From this moment on, you are no longer called Anbu."

His gaze swept across forty-seven faces still streaked with water.

"You are my personal blades. Your codename is [Yaksha]."

"We swear loyalty to Lord Ye until death!"

All forty-seven roared in unison, their frenzied voices shaking dust from the ceiling.

Terumi Mei stood to one side, looking at Ye's unreadable face. Her palms gradually dampened, and her heartbeat had long since fallen out of rhythm.

The power and methods this man displayed left her unable to find the slightest flaw. His perfection was so overwhelming it nearly made people unable to breathe.

Just as Ye was about to issue the next training command, his senses, far beyond those of ordinary people, suddenly blared a frantic warning.

Deep beneath the rock layers underfoot, a massive, violent chakra filled with destruction surged upward at high speed, and the entire underground base began to shake violently.
