Lie Yan brought Jun Xuehan to the entrance of the Genius Training Camp, where a middle-aged man clad in silver armor raised a hand to stop them.
"Is this the child being sent to the Genius Training Camp?" The middle-aged man quietly sized up Jun Xuehan and asked in an even tone.
"Jie Kaer, under the Young Master's orders, I have brought him to enter the Genius Training Camp. Here is his information." Lie Yan took out a dossier and handed it to Jie Kaer.
"Jun Xuehan, six years old. Martial Soul: Silver Dragon Spear. Level fifteen Assault System Battle Soul Master. First soul ring: five-hundred-year Blazing Fire Scale Python." Jie Kaer read each word slowly.
"Tsk, tsk, you're quite the genius." Jie Kaer's tone was very indifferent, though a faint mockery entered his voice when he said "genius."
"Do you have a Handwritten Note from His Holiness the Pope? If not, you may take him back." Jie Kaer looked at Lie Yan and asked blandly.
"What do you mean by that?" Lie Yan's voice grew several degrees colder.
"Without a Handwritten Note from His Holiness the Pope, the Genius Training Camp accepts no one, regardless of whose orders they carry. With His Holiness the Pope's Handwritten Note, the person may stay, and you may leave." Jie Kaer clasped his hands behind his back and stared at Lie Yan, his Aura yielding nothing.
"Heh, very well. Jie Kaer, look carefully. This is His Holiness the Pope's Handwritten Note." Lie Yan took out a note and tossed it toward Jie Kaer.
Jie Kaer caught the note and examined it closely. There were only four words written on it: Treat Everyone Equally. There was nothing else.
"Fine. He may stay, and you may leave." Jie Kaer put away the note and waved dismissively at Lie Yan.
"Hmph!" Lie Yan snorted coldly and turned to leave at once.
Jie Kaer turned his gaze to Jun Xuehan. "Kid, come with me."
With that, Jie Kaer turned and walked straight into the Genius Training Camp. After glancing in the direction Lie Yan had left, Jun Xuehan followed Jie Kaer inside.
Inside Jie Kaer's office at the Training Camp.
"Kid, once you enter the Training Camp, you must strictly abide by its rules. No matter who recommended you, no matter who stands behind you, everyone here is treated equally. You need only remember one thing: here, you obey orders. Do you understand?" Jie Kaer said indifferently.
"I understand, Instructor." Jun Xuehan answered calmly, his voice cold and devoid of emotion.
"Very good!" Jie Kaer put his hands behind his head and propped his feet on the desk. "Aila, take him to his dormitory. Training officially begins tomorrow."
"Yes, Instructor." Aila agreed and led Jun Xuehan away.
Watching their departing backs, Jie Kaer chuckled and muttered to himself, "Someone from the Worship Hall being sent to the Genius Training Camp... how interesting..."
The Training Camp was large and had quite a few students, roughly more than a hundred. Among those hundred or so students, not one was not a genius. Someone with level-seven Innate Soul Power would only be at the bottom in terms of talent here.
The most conspicuous spot in the Training Camp held a huge wooden board with three names on it. First: Hu Liena. Second: Xie Yue. Third: Yan.
Noticing Jun Xuehan's gaze, Aila slowly explained, "The three names on that board belong to the three people who once left the Genius Training Camp with the best records. They are also the representatives of Spirit Hall's current genius Golden Generation. No one has yet broken the records those three set during their training here, which is why that board stands in the most conspicuous place in the Training Camp."
Hearing this, Jun Xuehan looked at the wooden board and murmured, "Unbreakable by anyone?"
Hu Liena, three days, undefeated.
Xie Yue, three days, nine wins and one loss.
Yan, three days, eight wins and two losses.
Looking at their results, Jun Xuehan quietly pondered. He did not yet know what those three days represented, but based on his estimate, the undefeated records and such referred to the outcomes of matches between students.
The dormitory building was not far away, and it was quite large, so there were plenty of rooms. On average, four people shared one dormitory.
Second floor, room 202! Aila pushed open the door and said, "This will be your dormitory from now on. Someone will bring you bedding later. You can get acquainted with one another."
With that, Aila turned and walked out.
"Alright, thank you." Jun Xuehan replied politely before entering the dormitory.
The dormitory was quite spacious. Aside from four beds and two wardrobes, there were only two desks; otherwise, it was practically empty. The dorm was very clean,
spotless, clearly having been specially cleaned.
Of the four beds, three already had bedding on them, clearly indicating they were occupied. The last bed was nothing but a bare wooden plank, and Jun Xuehan knew that was his.
After finding a chair and putting away his belongings, Jun Xuehan sat cross-legged in his spot and entered a state of Meditative Cultivation.
As the sun set, several hours passed in the blink of an eye.
Training at the Training Camp had also ended.
The dormitory door opened, and three boys under the age of twelve walked in.
"Oh? A newcomer." A somewhat burly boy looked at Jun Xuehan, who was sitting on the last bed, and chuckled. Then he asked, "Kid, what level is your Innate Soul Power? Which sect or family do you belong to?"
Hearing the voice, Jun Xuehan withdrew from his Meditative Cultivation. He looked at the newcomers and replied blandly, "I'm from a commoner family. My Soul Power isn't high."
A chuckle rang out in the room. "A commoner's child can actually enter the Genius Training Camp? That's really something new. My name is Ban Zhuang, and I'm the boss of this dorm. If anyone on the second floor bullies you in the future, just give them my name."
The other two students could not help twitching their lips at Ban Zhuang's words, but they said nothing. Looking utterly exhausted, they lay down on their beds.
Jun Xuehan merely glanced at them before withdrawing his gaze. He did not pay much attention to Ban Zhuang's words.
"I'm telling you, my strength ranks among the top ten in all the second-floor dorms. So you definitely won't go wrong by following me." Ban Zhuang spoke confidently as he looked at Jun Xuehan.
"There are only three dorms on the second floor. Including him, the newcomer, that makes twelve people total. Stop saying your strength ranks in the top ten on the second floor." A boy lying on a nearby bed could not resist mocking him.
