We Both Want to Be Each Other's Dad

Uchiha Huan considered it for a while before finally deciding to enter the forest.

Mainly because he had picked a direction three more times, and every time, he ended up choosing the forest.

Not long after entering, Uchiha Huan caught the scent of grilled fish.

Following the aroma, Uchiha Huan soon saw a boy grilling fish by the riverbank.

Huo Yuhao jumped in fright and turned to find an eight- or nine-year-old boy emerging from the woods.

"Hey, big brother, got anything to eat?" Uchiha Huan had not had a proper meal in ages. His own cooking was terrible—he threw up halfway through every meal. If this guy said no, he would beat him to death first and take his grilled fish.

"Of course. Come over here, little brother."

Huo Yuhao beckoned and handed the grilled fish in his hand to Uchiha Huan.

Uchiha Huan immediately wolfed it down. Damn, this was delicious. This was what food for humans was supposed to taste like.

He really ought to make Deidara and the others come learn this skill.

"Little brother, are you here to hunt spirit beasts?" Huo Yuhao asked.

"No, I got lost." After finishing the grilled fish in his hand, Uchiha Huan was still not satisfied. He glanced at the little river beside them.

With a wave of his hand, vines burrowed out of the ground and formed a net. The vine net dropped into the water on its own, and with a hard tug, Uchiha Huan hauled up more than a dozen fish of various sizes.

Huo Yuhao could not help revealing a look of surprise. Such exquisite spirit power control—he had formed such a large net without even using a soul skill.

"You're here to hunt spirit beasts, right?" Uchiha Huan asked.

"Yes."

"Grill me a few more fish, and I'll help you hunt them," Uchiha Huan said.

"Ah... isn't that inappropriate?"

Huo Yuhao saw that Uchiha Huan was even younger than himself, and he did not have a Spirit Ring. That meant Uchiha Huan had not yet become a true Soul Master.

Although he had seen Uchiha Huan's exquisite control over his martial soul, without Spirit Rings or soul skills, his combat strength could not be all that great.

"Quit yapping and grill the fish. I haven't had a proper meal in over ten days."

Before long, two more people with dog noses followed the scent over.

The one grilling fish was Huo Yuhao, and these two were Bei Bei and Tang Ya.

"Little brothers, could you sell us two of those grilled fish?" Bei Bei asked warmly.

Huo Yuhao looked at Uchiha Huan, who pointed at the empty seats. "If you want some, come over."

"Thank you so much, little brothers. Are you here to hunt spirit beasts?"

"He is. I'm here to help him hunt them," Uchiha Huan said.

"You? Help him hunt spirit beasts?" Both Bei Bei and Tang Ya looked at Uchiha Huan skeptically.

The boy before them was even younger than the one grilling fish. Who could he possibly help hunt spirit beasts?

"I'm Bei Bei. This is Tang Ya, my teacher. We're both students of Shrek Academy."

Teacher? Huo Yuhao looked curiously at Bei Bei and Tang Ya. Bei Bei seemed older, so why was he Tang Ya's student? Their relationship was really confusing.

But when Huo Yuhao heard the name Shrek Academy, a glimmer of light flashed in his eyes.

"I'm Huo Yuhao."

"Uchiha Huan."

"Aren't you brothers?"

"Our relationship is more complicated than that."

"How complicated?"

"We both want to be each other's dad."

"..."

"Little Brother Yuhao, where are you from? Who do you have in your family?" Tang Ya asked.

"I'm from the Star Luo Empire. I have no father or mother. I'm the only one left in my family now, and I don't know where to go." Huo Yuhao sank into a low and repressed mood again.

"That's wonderful."

The moment the words left Tang Ya's mouth, she realized she had misspoken.

"No, I mean, would you like to join the Tang Sect?"

Uchiha Huan looked at Huo Yuhao, then turned to Tang Ya and Bei Bei.

"Bei Bei... watch your back!!" Tang Ya hurriedly warned.

Uchiha Huan grabbed the back of Bei Bei's neck with one hand and slammed him to the ground.

"What? You can't win an argument, so you're resorting to violence? Just like Shrek Academy's motto—always pick on those weaker than yourselves."

"Let go of him!!"

Tang Ya immediately unleashed Blue Silver Entanglement.

But in the next moment, a tree root burst from the ground and bound Tang Ya directly.

Seeing this, Bei Bei immediately unleashed Thunderous Might.

But his pitiful attack did not even manage to numb Uchiha Huan.
