The sky had just begun to brighten when Naruto appeared in the middle of the pool.
His feet stood firmly on the water, the chakra beneath them constantly adjusting. His body rose and fell gently with the ripples, but he no longer plunged headfirst into the water like yesterday.
"Did you see that?"
Naruto planted his hands on his hips and looked proudly at Sasuke on the shore.
"I've completely mastered walking on water!"
"What's there to be proud of?"
Sasuke stood before a large tree, with weights tied to both his arms and legs.
Several kunai were held between his fingers, his gaze fixed tightly on distant wooden targets.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Several kunai shot out at once.
Two of them collided in midair, instantly changing direction. They curved around either side of the wooden posts before finally embedding themselves in the targets behind them.
Even without activating his Sharingan, Sasuke's throwing technique still far surpassed that of children his age.
It was a technique personally taught to him by Itachi.
It was also one of the abilities Sasuke had the most confidence in.
However, ever since losing to Kimimaro yesterday, Sasuke had become deeply dissatisfied with his current strength.

No matter how powerful the Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu was, it meant nothing if it could not hit its target.
