Half a month later, two horses and a carriage arrived, travel-worn, at a dock by Black Dragon Pool.
A small boat was moored at the dock, with a boatman aboard. The moment he saw the newcomers, he was startled and hurried over to bow to the white-clad young master on horseback. "This servant greets Young Master!"
The newcomers were Li Chenfeng and his group of five. After Sword Servant successfully broke through to the Xiantian Realm, they had set out on their return to Sword Worship Villa.
The five boarded the small boat, and with the boatman rowing with all his strength, it headed toward the center of the lake.
Before they had even gone far from shore, Li Chenfeng could already vaguely make out the magnificent buildings towering over the island amid the drifting mist.
Although Sword Worship Villa was not particularly impressive in terms of martial strength within the martial world, when it came to wealth, it was unquestionably one of the richest powers around!
"Heh, I was only gone for three months, yet I already feel a faint sense of urgency." Stepping onto solid ground, Li Chenfeng said with feeling, "This place still feels more familiar."
"Young Master is traveling the martial world for the first time. It is only natural for you to feel that way." Madam Liu brought the two sisters over behind Li Chenfeng and responded after hearing his words.
"Ha ha, let's go. Let's head into the villa!"
With a wave of his hand, Li Chenfeng led the five toward the villa.
When Li Chenfeng and the others arrived at the gates of Sword Worship Villa, they saw Madam Ao leading the villa's people in welcoming them outside.
Li Chenfeng quickly stepped forward and bowed to Madam Ao. "Mother, your son has returned!"
"Feng'er!"
At the sight of Li Chenfeng, Madam Ao cried out joyfully and rushed forward to pull him into her arms. In a doting voice, she complained, "You child, you were gone for nearly half a year. You worried your mother to death..."
Listening to Madam Ao's complaints, Li Chenfeng smiled and gently hugged his mother. "This was your son's first venture into the martial world, so naturally I wanted to see more and travel farther. That way, I could improve my strength more quickly. It was wrong of me to make Mother worry."
"As long as you returned safely, that is all that matters! Feng'er, your strength is already considerable. Your master said you have far surpassed others your age. From now on, you must put your own safety first. Your mother's greatest wish is for you and Tian'er to grow up safely!"
Li Chenfeng took two steps back and spread his arms to show off his current appearance. "Mother, look. Haven't I already grown up?"
Only then did Madam Ao realize that Li Chenfeng was noticeably more mature in both height and appearance than when he had left half a year ago.
"How... how could this be? How did my Feng'er grow up so much in only half a year?"
Seeing Madam Ao's shocked expression, Li Chenfeng scratched his head and smiled. "My cultivation improved somewhat, so my body grew quite a bit as well."
"Th-this... is that really how it works?" Madam Ao looked utterly bewildered. She had never heard of a breakthrough in cultivation making someone grow taller.
When Sword Demon heard Li Chenfeng's words, his eyes widened at once. He stared at Li Chenfeng in shock and asked, "Disciple, what did you say? Your cultivation broke through again?!"
Looking at the astonished Sword Demon and Madam Ao, who had finally recovered from the shock of his sudden growth, Li Chenfeng nodded. "Yes. I have now broken through to the Xiantian Realm."
"A fourteen-year-old Xiantian Realm martial artist... such a talent is rarely seen even once in a century!" Sword Demon said in shock.
After her initial joy, Madam Ao suddenly came to her senses. Looking at the stunned Sword Demon, she said softly, "We must thank Mr. Sword Demon for his careful guidance. Otherwise, Feng'er could not have reached the level of a Xiantian Realm martial artist in such a short time. This humble woman thanks Mr. Sword Demon here!"
Sword Demon had still been immersed in shock, but after hearing Madam Ao's words, his mind was instantly overwhelmed by immense delight. Patting his chest, he shouted, "What are you saying, Madam Ao? This is what I should do. Please rest assured, Madam Ao. I will certainly train Feng'er into the greatest expert under heaven and make Sword Worship Villa renowned throughout the martial world!"
"Then I must thank Mr. Sword Demon!"
"N-no need, Madam Ao. You honor me too much!"
Beside them, Li Chenfeng's gaze flickered, a trace of killing intent hidden in the deepest depths of his eyes.
It seems my strength is not improving quickly enough!
Madam Ao led everyone into the villa.
Li Chenfeng also brought Sword Servant and Madam Liu and her daughters back to his own small courtyard.
"Ha ha, Liu'er. Your young master is back. Have you missed me these past few days, little girl?"
Seeing his maid Liu'er standing at the courtyard gate to welcome him, Li Chenfeng immediately laughed.
"Hmph, I did not miss you at all!"
When Liu'er learned that her young master was about to return, she had been overjoyed. She had cleaned the entire courtyard all by herself, all to welcome her young master home.
Yet she had not expected the first thing she saw to be Madam Liu and her three daughters. Liu Caifeng and Liu Qingluan, especially, made Liu'er feel deeply threatened. So in response to Li Chenfeng's words, she simply haughtily turned her head away.
The corners of Li Chenfeng's lips curved upward slightly. Naturally, he could guess what the little girl was thinking. In his memories, Liu'er had practically grown up alongside him, so she held an exceptionally special place in his heart.
Just like Sword Servant by his side, they were both people he trusted most!
Watching Liu'er banter with Li Chenfeng, Madam Liu understood the situation perfectly. She quietly began considering how she should get along with this young girl in the future. After all, they were destined to live together from now on. If she and her daughters were to integrate into this family, she naturally had to proceed carefully.
After returning to his small courtyard, Li Chenfeng relaxed completely and lay down on his bed.
They had ridden horses the entire way, and the constant jolting had left even him, a Xiantian Realm martial artist, somewhat unable to bear it.
"Young Master, are you tired?" Liu'er entered Li Chenfeng's room carrying fragrant tea. Looking at the figure lying on the bed, she asked softly.
"I'm exhausted. My bones are practically falling apart. Liu'er, come give your young master a massage." Li Chenfeng lay still on the bed as he spoke.
Liu'er set down the tea and walked to the bedside. She sat down, placed Li Chenfeng's head on her lap, and gently kneaded his shoulders with her small hands.
"Young Master, where did Madam Liu and those twin sisters come from? Why did you keep them by your side?" Watching Li Chenfeng enjoy the massage with his eyes closed, Liu'er seemed to ask casually in a quiet voice.
"Little girl, why are you filled with so many little thoughts?" Li Chenfeng raised his hand and lightly tapped Liu'er on the head. He explained, "Sword Servant and I rescued the three of them on the road. Their entire family died at the hands of the World Society. Only three helpless women remained. If we had ignored them, they likely would have had no way to survive!"
"Ah! So that is what happened!" Li Chenfeng's words startled Liu'er. Then boundless sympathy welled up in her heart, and any resentment she had felt over the three suddenly entering her life with her young master vanished.
