BOOM!
Suddenly, a heaven-shattering, earth-rending roar exploded across Tiandi, instantly rupturing the eardrums of countless living beings and knocking them unconscious.
At that moment, Tiandi began to shift, no longer able to align.
The entire ocean caved downward within a single breath, as though the weight of that presence above had "drawn" the seawater into the sky.
Then came an eruption in reverse. Walls of water tens of thousands of feet high surged up without direction, crashing down in every direction and wiping out coastal cities along with entire mountain ranges.
The earth let out a pupil-shrieking howl.
Mountain ranges seemed to be gripped by an invisible hand. Their peaks twisted and snapped, entire chains shifting sideways. Ravines gaped open, bottomless darkness overturning from beneath the ground. Before magma could even erupt, the force pressing down from above brutally crushed it into extinction.
The desert rose into the air.
Billions upon billions of grains of sand were torn from the ground and suspended in midair. Then, as if stirred by some invisible breath, they formed a gray storm stretching thousands of miles. Wherever it passed, the outlines of cities were peeled away in the wind, like paintings being erased.
Forests collapsed in swathes.
They all flattened toward the ground in the same direction. Tree trunks burst apart, branches and leaves turned to dust, and before birds could even beat their wings, their flesh and blood had already been pressed into mist.
Mortals did not even have the chance to flee.
Crowds running through the streets suddenly crashed to the ground, never to rise again. Mothers clutching children beneath the eaves did not even manage a cry before blood slowly seeped from their seven orifices.
The entire city still seemed to maintain the posture of ordinary life continuing.
But in the
