"Oh?" Chen Xun turned his head to look at Black Bull as well.
"Moo moo~" Black Bull's gaze was resolute. It was still somewhere in this Tiandi.
That was as good as saying nothing.
Chen Xun raised an eyebrow but said no more.
He looked around for a long while.
"Old Bull, let's wait here for now."
"Moo..."
Black Bull and Chen Xun were of one mind.
They no longer intended to travel far. They would wait here, because there was too much they needed to wait for.
"It's been a long time since we came back." Chen Xun lowered himself into a squat and pinched up a speck of dust, a grain of earth. He shook his head and chuckled. "They cleaned up thoroughly. This hasn't been the dust of our Divine Mountain Continent for a long time."
"Moo!" Black Bull nudged Chen Xun with blazing eyes.
"Don't worry. The two of them are out there—one killing, one saving." Chen Xun's eyes flickered faintly. "As for everything else, we've only just returned. There's no need for us to concern ourselves with it for now."
Black Bull glanced sideways at him.
Chen Xun now faced everything with a faint sense of detachment. The collapse of Eternal Ancient left him calm as still water; every piece of dreadful news left him calm as still water. Only when he looked upon this dust did a trace more emotion show in his eyes.
"Moo moo~"
"Third Sister..."
Chen Xun's voice sank slightly, and the fingertips pinching the soil paused. "She will return on her own. Nothing in this world can harm her. No one can. She merely went to do some things. Once she is done, she will return."
Black Bull slowly exhaled through its nostrils and nodded lightly. It thought so too.
