Background / History

Carina infiltrated a Heavenly Tribute cargo ship by posing as a male sailor, intending to steal from it after laying groundwork for a long time. She had interacted with Li Mingyuan for several days without realizing his strength or that he would become her target's protector. 15

Li Mingyuan exposed her disguise after noticing her chest bindings while using his enhanced Sharingan perception. She admitted that “Carina” was her real name and emphasized that disguising her gender was unusual for her normal work. 24 Rather than handing her over to the crew, Li Mingyuan spared her in exchange for a promised ransom of 20 million Beli and kept her close as they headed toward Arlong Park. 24 25
