Chapter Summaries

Erza defeated Jellal and revealed that Ultear had deceived him about Zeref’s Whisper and the Tower of Heaven. She then joined Cain and Ultear against Nothingness, whose assault was overcome by Cain’s Purification as Erza and Ultear struck him down.

• Erza wounded Jellal, gave him a recovery potion, and explained that Ultear had fabricated Zeref’s Whisper and manipulated him into taking control of the Tower of Heaven.
• Jellal realized Erza had no reason to lie and collapsed into self-recrimination, leaving Nirvana’s influence to transform him into a new Jellal.
