When Li Yan found Shao Lingyun, the other man was intently flipping through his notes.

His exchange with "Xuan Zhenzi" had opened his eyes. Many things he had been unable to understand before were now steadily forming into a systematic framework, allowing him to feel the allure of social science.

His current job was to go deep into the Lower District, constantly communicate with the Iron Men there, gather firsthand information at the grassroots level, then return and organize it into material for Chen Yu's Dreamscape.

His Mystic Object ability was highly suited for moving through the Lower District. His ability to casually create holes made him unstoppable here, and even when he occasionally encountered danger, he could escape without issue.

And Mystic Object Foundation Establishment was still Foundation Establishment. If he occasionally ran into someone who didn't know better, he could just kill them. It didn't matter.

Because he could go deep among the people, he could observe and think at the same time. He had filled three whole notebooks with all kinds of notes.

After giving "Xuan Zhenzi" his daily summary, he spent his spare time studying with the group. Every exchange with his companions from The Remnants Opera Troupe benefited him greatly and made him feel as though he was coming to understand everything.

The feeling of gradually understanding the world was truly wonderful.

Seeing Shao Lingyun alternate between deep thought and sudden realization, Li Yan did not dare approach him immediately. He waited until the other man closed his notebook before respectfully stepping forward and asking, "Senior Shao, I have a few questions."

"What questions?"

"Boss Xuan said my proposal wouldn't work. He told me to come ask you for advice. What do you think I should do?"

"Oh, let me see."
