At the border of the Land of Lightning, Uchiha Shunichi and Karin were taking a break.
Although he was in another country, Uchiha Shunichi felt no unease whatsoever. Not only had he traveled at a leisurely pace, he had even stopped to barbecue in the wilderness.

"Lord Shunichi, the meat is ready." Karin brought over the freshly roasted rabbit and handed it to Uchiha Shunichi.
Uchiha Shunichi was toying with a kunai as he gazed into the distance. He seemed to be pondering something.
"Karin, what do you think of the shinobi world as it is now?" Uchiha Shunichi accepted the roasted rabbit and tore off a leg.
The rabbit meat was dry and a little tough, but the sauce Karin had brushed onto it tasted good, with a distinctive flavor.
"Hm? Is there something you want to do, Lord Shunichi?" Karin took a flask from the pack she carried. It contained juice she had bought in Kumogakure not long ago.
