In Amegakure, Pain looked down at Uchiha Obito, his pale face utterly expressionless.
"Are you planning to keep showing yourself through that puppet?" Uchiha Obito ignored Pain's words and continued.
"Uchiha Shunichi's existence has already seriously affected our plans. Successfully capturing the Two-Tails was merely luck. Next time, it won't go so smoothly."
After hearing Uchiha Obito's words, Pain remained silent for a long time. He appeared to be deep in thought, but in reality, Nagato behind the scenes was discussing matters with Konan.
"Next time, I'll act personally!" Pain spoke again after a long while.
Hearing Pain's words, Uchiha Obito felt no joy whatsoever. The power of the Six Paths of Pain alone would most likely be insufficient to deal with Uchiha Shunichi.
"No, that power still isn't enough. Next, I'll have White Zetsu treat your body and restore your crippled legs..." Uchiha Obito said with some difficulty.
This was actually something Uchiha Obito had been very unwilling to see. He had merely regarded Nagato as a pawn, just as Uchiha Madara had regarded him as a pawn for his own resurrection.
Yet now, under pressure, he had no choice but to let this pawn slip out of control. Doing so might create a better opportunity, but it might also lead to an even worse outcome.
As for what Black Zetsu had said about reviving Uchiha Madara? Uchiha Obito had never entertained such an idea. After healing Nagato's body, Uchiha Obito might still be able to control him.
But Uchiha Madara... Uchiha Obito had no confidence that he could resist him. After all, he himself was nothing more than a pawn.
Pain did not speak again after hearing Uchiha Obito's words. A moment later, Konan appeared before Uchiha Obito, her eyes full of wariness.
"Is what
