"Iwagakure... seems to have some ties to the Akatsuki. Ōnoki ambushed me once, and Deidara of the Akatsuki is a rogue ninja from Iwagakure." Uchiha Shunichi looked at the two Kage as he spoke.
Last time, Nagato had arrived too quickly for him to do anything. Otherwise, Uchiha Shunichi would never have let Ōnoki get away!
"Even so, we need to get the Tsuchikage to explain himself. If Iwagakure really is colluding with the Akatsuki, I certainly won't turn a blind eye."
"As for the Tsuchikage's attack on you..." Tsunade hesitated.
Ninja killing one another was practically an everyday occurrence. If no one died, things could be worked out. Even if someone did die, things could still be worked out.
Konoha couldn't go to war over a single ambush, but Tsunade was a little worried about what Uchiha Shunichi might think.
"Don't worry about me, Teacher. I'll settle this myself..." Uchiha Shunichi had never expected anything from her in the first place, so there was no disappointment on his face.

Alliances between ninja did carry some weight. Although they were easy to break, the two sides could at least cooperate to some extent while the alliance remained in place.
