"Caw, caw, caw!"
A flock of crows swept through the forest. Muzan glanced up but paid them no mind.
Uzumaki Karin lay on the ground. A single flick to the forehead had knocked her out for half the night, and she only woke groggily in the latter half of the night.
The instant she awoke, she first stared at the dim forest, then saw Muzan standing there. Karin immediately shrieked in fright.
"Y-you! Who are you?!"
She lowered her head and checked her clothes, only breathing a sigh of relief after confirming nothing was wrong. Still, facing Muzan filled her with fear, though she forced herself to speak up.
"I'm from Grass Village! I'm warning you, don't try anything!"
Her commotion drew Muzan's attention. He turned back, looked at the awakened Uzumaki Karin, and said with an amused smile,
"Are you sure they ever treated you as a ninja of their village?"
He pointed at the bite marks on her arms. Some scars had yet to fade, more than enough to reveal what her status in Grass Village had been.
"You were nothing more than a blood bag. Without me, they would have sucked you dry until you died."
Muzan smiled as he spoke, looking toward Grass Village and saying unhurriedly,
"As for the Grass Village you mentioned, they won't come save you. I killed every ninja in Grass Village."
Combined with Muzan's scarlet eyes, the sight sent a chill through Uzumaki Karin.
Wiping out an entire village? Karin did not believe that was possible. Yet she did not dare refute Muzan, and this was not the Grass Village she knew. She had no idea where she had been brought.
I should just behave, or I'll get punished again.
