Crack! Crack! Crack!
The sounds of breaking rang out one after another, exceptionally piercing in the empty tunnel as spiderweb-like cracks spread across the walls.
The Konoha group inside the tunnel sensed a force seeping in, vibrations traveling through the rocks.
The instinctive sense of danger that came from facing the strong instantly bore down on the two people in front. The Aburame Clan behind them reacted quickly as well, using insects to form a wall and block the falling rubble.
The attack had come too suddenly. No one knew what had happened, but one thing was certain: the enemy had arrived!
Konoha had little time. Once the rubble had settled, the entire tunnel was filled with dust, making it difficult even to breathe.
"Wind Release: Great Breakthrough!"
The scattered rocks were swept away, revealing several vague silhouettes. Sakumo Hatake gripped his sword with both hands and watched the approaching figures warily, but an astonished cry from his team distracted him.
"Why can't my Byakugan see the chakra in their bodies?! That's impossible! Nothing can block the Byakugan's sight!"
