After Luo Ning briefly met with the village chiefs and group leaders, it was Wilson's responsibility to determine how the assigned tasks would be carried out and supervised.
Meanwhile, accompanied by Chahar and Gallon, he paid a visit to Callus's blacksmith shop to inspect the completed curved-shaft plow.
The blacksmith shop was as cluttered as before. Broken bone tools, pottery, stone tools, and other items were scattered everywhere, with only a small cleared space in the middle for the finished curved-shaft plow.
If Chahar had not informed the lord in advance that he would be coming to inspect it today, Callus probably would not even have bothered clearing out that patch of space.
"My lord, you've finally arrived!"
Callus approached from afar with his son Barr. "We assembled the curved-shaft plow yesterday and have been waiting for you to inspect its performance!"
"You've worked hard, Callus."
Luo Ning maintained a friendly smile. "I can hardly wait to see your results myself. Come, take me over there."
Led by the father and son, Luo Ning entered the blacksmith shop and immediately spotted the curved-shaft plow resting on the small, clean patch of ground in the middle.
His eyes lit up. He strode over, examined it carefully from every angle, then crouched down to inspect the plowshare. Its shape and size were almost identical to the plow he remembered.
"Callus, everyone in town says you're skilled at blacksmithing. Today, I've finally seen it for myself!"
He could not help giving the man his approval. "This curved-shaft plow is ninety-nine percent faithful to my design. Very impressive!"
Having received the lord's approval, Callus finally relaxed. He was secretly proud of his craftsmanship, though his words remained humble.
"My lord's design drawings were simply too clear. I only needed to follow them."
