Willie's house had been requisitioned by Luo Ning. Sitting on a bench, he continued questioning Walton and Dandy, gathering more intelligence from them.
"I'm curious. How did the names of your barbarian tribes come about?"
Luo Ning asked, "The Green Bamboo Tribe is located among bamboo groves, so I can understand why it is named after green bamboo. But what do Purple Fruit, Gray Earth, and Black Collar represent?"
"My lord, as far as I know, the Purple Fruit Tribe got its name because purple-black and purplish-red fruits grow within their tribe around June every year."
Walton answered, "I was fortunate enough to eat one once. Purple fruit tastes different from grapes and plums. It is sweet, sour, juicy, and very refreshing. Unfortunately, it is September now, so you may not get to enjoy them if you go there."
Purple-black fruit?
Luo Ning searched his memories for information about that fruit but found nothing. It seemed to be a specialty of the mountains.
He had already decided that once he took the Purple Fruit Tribe, he would thoroughly inquire about the purple fruit.
"What about Gray Earth and Black Collar?"
"I know this."
Dandy hurriedly answered, "The Gray Earth Tribe got its name because there is a kind of grayish-white soil in their territory. Since it can be seen everywhere, they named themselves after it."
"The Black Collar Tribe is similar. Their soil is relatively black, so they call it 'Black Collar.'"
Luo Ning slowly nodded. So the names of both tribes were related to soil.
"Do you know what these two kinds of soil are used for?" Luo Ning asked.
Dandy shook his head at that question. "They do not seem to have any special use. They are merely unusual enough to catch people's attention."
Was that so?
