Ch. 101Huang Returns
Plot points and events
- After Shi Hao’s apparent death, his parents and grandfather gathered around him. He gave Qin Hao what he needed to know and passed his Supreme Bone to his brother before dying. Shi Yunfeng buried him in Stone Village, while the Five-Colored Sparrow tended his grave and kept his body and spirit alive.
- With Shi Hao gone, lower-realm powers plundered the Stone Kingdom. Huo Yuhao and Tang Wulin wiped them out and led the kingdom on a victorious campaign against several major sects, keeping the Demon-Subduing Pestle for Shi Hao.
- Shi Hao resisted the Supreme Bone’s return, spreading its blood and runes through his body instead. Furball and Xiao Hong eventually broke him free from an illusory reincarnation, and he revived.
- Reunited with Huo Yuhao and Tang Wulin, Shi Hao learned what had happened while he slept. He then sought a route to the Upper Realm. After an unsuccessful attempt through the Wall of Gods and Demons, the trio found Cloud Heavenly Palace’s teleportation array and crossed over, surviving its collapse through Huo Yuhao’s intervention.
- In the Upper Realm, Shi Hao began rebuilding his cultivation. Huo Yuhao and Tang Wulin rescued a Silver Phoenix from Yue Chan, the Witch, and Di Chong; Shi Hao named the bird Silver.
- Hearing that his grandfather had been seen on Demon Island, Shi Hao disguised himself and traveled there with his friends.
Character developments and interactions
- Shi Hao returns from death with a changed relationship to his Supreme Bone, choosing to incorporate its power throughout his body rather than let it reform. His reunion with Huo Yuhao and Tang Wulin restores his drive to pursue cultivation and find his family.
- Huo Yuhao and Tang Wulin act as Shi Hao’s steadfast allies: they defend the Stone Kingdom in his absence, share their spoils with him, help him reach the Upper Realm, and rescue the Silver Phoenix.
- Shi Hao’s final moments with his family bring his parents and grandfather back into focus. Qin Yining stays by his grave until news of Shi Ziling’s injury draws her to the Upper Realm; Shi Ziling and Qin Hao also leave the village for their own quests.
- Furball and Xiao Hong play a decisive role in awakening Shi Hao, while the Five-Colored Sparrow sustains him during his long burial.
