"Chaos was no longer calm. A force of dissolution had arisen within it—it actually sought to refine us Emperor Lords!" Blood Purgatory Emperor's body shimmered with bloody light, forcing back the surrounding Chaos.
Within Chaos, the bamboo grove no longer existed. The many Emperor Lords were submerged within it and realized that danger had arrived! Though they could now move their limbs and wield Divine Abilities, they could no longer pierce through Chaos or contend for anything; it had become a shackle!
"What Fellow Daoist Black Emperor seeks is not to refine us, but to refine Fellow Daoist Lin." Azure Emperor formed a seal, and azure leaves rose up, circling his body before forming a barrier against Chaos's assault. "Refining us is merely something done along the way. He is still being restrained by Fellow Daoist Lin, which is why he has not acted personally. Once the battle changes and Fellow Daoist Black Emperor needs to raise his strength, that may well be the moment of our deaths."
"He has stored us away like nourishment." Anger appeared on Red Emperor's face. "When the critical moment comes, he will truly refine us, extract our many concepts and laws, and condense them into himself. Naturally, he will be able to raise his combat strength in a short time!" Flames shifted across his body, forming a fiery cover around him.
White Emperor also nodded. "Black Emperor currently occupies that Celestial Venerable's body. With such strength, none of us is his match. Outside Chaos, we could still avoid his edge for the moment, but trapped within Chaos, there is nowhere to retreat and no way to respond. Perhaps we truly must borrow power from beyond." Sword radiance spun around White Emperor like shuttles and rain, resisting Chaos's encroachment.
