Li Yu paused, then sat back down by the bed.

"Put it on speaker." Chi Yan stared straight at Li Yu, leaving him momentarily stunned.

"Mm... okay..."

Though Li Yu had no idea why Chi Yan was suddenly asking this, given their relationship, it made no difference whether the call was on speaker or not.

The moment he pressed the answer button, Shen Zhonglou's voice came through the receiver:

"Why did you only answer now? I called you three times today, and you didn't pick up once."

"Shen Zhonglou, it seems you haven't quite figured out the situation." Li Yu paused, then continued, "Why should I answer your calls? Who do you think you are?"

Chi Yan's question came out of nowhere, partly because he deliberately wanted to shift Li Yu's attention.

"Mm. Tomorrow morning, let's go there to watch the sunrise, okay?" Chi Yan said.

There was a sudden knock on the door. A staff member had come to notify Li Yu that it was time to record, interrupting the two of them.
