The many Mutants had no idea what had really happened today. They could only follow their own understanding and find someone to vent their anger on. Magneto, who had once enjoyed great prestige and rallied them to obey the Black Queen's orders, became the scapegoat.
With so many mouths speaking as one, the old man had no way to explain himself. Nor could he be bothered to. His hawk-like eyes fixed on every person who dared shout at him.
