Transport ships, Brood soldiers, and the nearby buildings that passed for a base were all broken down into atoms.
The hostility here was far too intense. It was as if countless lives were fighting and screaming in the air. The instant she entered this space, those pervasive emotions attacked her. Not wanting to be controlled by the negative emotions, she could only strike first, destroy the scene, and flee before the Brood could react.
This confirmed her earlier conclusion. There had to be a god here, or something like a collective consciousness.

"It's acceptable. Fairly clear. Keep the signal steady while I make some adjustments."
Mr. Fantastic worked quickly. In less than half a minute, his voice had become perfectly clear.
"Confirm my position, then calculate the node's location." Daisy remained where she was and let Mr. Fantastic make the calculations.
