After entering the house, Adam quickly came to a stop. He looked around, the Soul Stone's glow illuminating an area roughly two meters in diameter around him.

Straight ahead was a short corridor, and he could vaguely make out stairs leading to the second floor. A slightly shabby chandelier hung above them, while various odds and ends lay scattered around the room.

A three-legged wooden chair, a rust-covered kettle, a long-extinguished fireplace, several rugs whose original appearance was impossible to discern, and papers scattered everywhere.

There was absolutely no wind inside the house, yet they could still hear the second-floor window frames banging loudly in the wind. It sounded as though several people were running back and forth across the ceiling above them, their footsteps, light and heavy alike, sending chills down their spines in this eerie environment.

"Adam, hurry up and move."

"You've set your sights on the treasure here? You can take the lead."

"You're asking for death. I've wanted to kill you for a long time!"

"Feel free to try...!"

The three stopped. Thanos frowned, Daisy looked at the other two, while Adam seemed somewhat flustered.

They had not spoken those words just now. None of the three had opened their mouths, yet their voices had naturally drifted down from the second floor into their ears.

"The voices sound like they're coming from upstairs. Does anyone want to go take a look?" This time, it was still Daisy's voice, but she clearly had not spoken.

The voices that followed soon turned into Adam's, occasionally mixed with Thanos's voice and the rustling sound of footsteps.

Daisy was a little rattled. This was a classic haunted house.
