The little witch would probably have to wear her hair short for the next year. Wanda clearly cared a great deal about her hair, and there was a trace of heartache on her face. Daisy simply could not understand women's love for their hair. She only knew that she had completely severed the connection between Chthon and Wanda.
Nothing as melodramatic as Wanda being controlled would ever happen again.
The strands of hair floated through the air. Chthon seemed to be preparing to use that hair to reshape himself, but Daisy gave him no time. Rarely, she used Phoenix Fire, reducing Chthon's remnants and the hair to ash beneath its flames.
"Yo, pretty tenacious, huh?" Having lost his material anchor, Chthon's personal consciousness was reduced to a humanoid phantom. Yet the phantom did not dissipate anytime soon.
Daisy had now witnessed why Eternity called Chthon a cosmic cancer. This guy's vitality was absurdly strong—impossible to steam or boil to death. Even after she had prepared so many measures in advance, she had still failed to drive him completely out of the material realm.
"Woman, do you think you have won? You have lost, because Chthon will always win." The phantom had initially been extremely indistinct, but after shrinking his form, his power immediately rose by a considerable amount.
Chthon pointed at Wanda. "I can return at any time. This nest will always be mine."
"She is my wife. She has nothing whatsoever to do with a maggot like you!" Daisy replied coldly.
"Pointless resistance. In the eyes of mortals, perhaps you are already an omnipotent being. But to me, you are as immature as a fledgling bird. Your knowledge is ultimately too narrow. If you spit at the sky, what will happen? All your efforts will only reveal your incompetence."
